About the Programme
Duration of Programme
(i) Full-time Postgraduate Diploma programme shall run for a minimum of two semesters and a
maximum of four semesters.
(ii) The Part-time Postgraduate Programme shall run for a minimum of four semesters and a
maximum of six semesters.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENT
A candidate must have fulfilled the following conditions to be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma:
A candidate must pass a minimum of 33 credit units, made up as follows:
- 18 credit units in core courses.
- 9 credit units in elective courses
- 6 compulsory credit units of Research Projects.
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
Continuous assessment shall be done through essays, tests, term papers, tutorial exercises, quizzes and homework. Scores from continuous assessments shall be 30% of the final marks.
EXAMINATIONS, GRADING PROCEDURE AND RESULTS WEIGHTING
(a) In addition to continuous Assessment, final examinations shall be given at the end of a course. The total scores for Continuous Assessment shall not be less than 30%, and not be more than 40% of total scores for a course.
(b) PASS MARK
The minimum pass mark for PGD courses shall be 50%.
